College Musician for a Day
College Musician for a Day at CSC – Wednesday, February 24, 2027
Since February 2019, “College Musician for a Day” has hosted over one hundred students on the CSC Campus.
If you are a high school student interested in being a music major or continuing to play and sing in a music ensemble while attending college, you are welcome to come experience some of the aspects of being a college musician.

Schedule highlights:
- Welcome session and recital featuring current CSC students.
- Sit in and play/sing with the Jazz Ensemble, Wind Symphony, Vocal Jazz, and Concert Choir.
- Mini classes - music theory, piano class, music technology, hand drumming, oh my!
- Lunch in the student center cafeteria with current students
Students are welcome to come on their own, with classmates, with parents, or with their schools/music teachers. Students should be prepared to bring their instruments (if applicable) in order to participate in rehearsals. The only fee is to bring about $10.00 for lunch in the student center.
The day will start around 10 a.m. and end at 4pm. Events will take place in Memorial Hall on CSC's campus.
- If you graduate from high school in 2027 and are coming to CSC in the fall, we would love have you participate in our ensembles.
- We have 100% music tuition scholarships available for music majors.
- We have music scholarships for you to participate in music ensembles while you pursue another major.
- Schedule a music scholarship audition during College Musician for a Day!
