Rural Health Opportunities Program (RHOP)

The Rural Health Opportunities Program (RHOP) is an innovative partnership to support rural Nebraska students seeking professional careers in many different healthcare professions. The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) pioneered this cooperative partnership in 1989 with Chadron State College and has continued to build upon its success by expanding to new programs. The purpose of the collaboration is to recruit and educate rural Nebraska high school students who have a commitment to practicing healthcare in rural areas of the state.

RHOP Benefits:

• RHOP Tuition Scholarship at Chadron State College for full participants
  • Designated Program Alternates who have completed the Freshman Scholarship Application will receive special consideration for other renewable tuition scholarships
• Early acceptance into UNMC upon successful completion of CSC-UNMC RHOP Program Standards
