Students are encouraged to download the TimelyCare app in the App Store/Google Play and login with their CSC credentials. You may have heard the term “health coaching” in conversations about student health and well-being services. But what does health coaching for college students actually mean? Over 20 years ago, health coaching was identified as a way to help individuals achieve health and well-being-related goals. Now, the concept of health coaching is expanding and is implemented in a variety of settings. From primary care to chronic disease education, to wellness programs on college campuses, health coaching is a way to support individuals and groups who have an identified health and well-being need.
This anonymous, peer-to-peer support within the TimelyCare platform provides students a place to connect with other students across the country who face similar challenges. Since peer support is often a student’s first step in seeking care, it also helps to remove the stigma of seeking mental health support, promotes treatment engagement, and reaches a wider demographic.
Rooted in therapeutic practices and delivered in ways Gen Z prefers to consume content, Self-Care Journeys are evidence-based tools we’ve designed for and road-tested with students to guide them on their journey to wellness. Whether students need to navigate stress, maintain healthy relationships, or learn healthy eating habits, our Self-Care Journeys have students covered.
