Reserve your housing

Ready to live on campus? Reserving your housing is quick and required for all students planning to live in the residence halls.

Steps to Reserve Your Space:

  1. Visit the Housing Portal.
  2. Login using Student Login with EagleMail SSO (Single Sign On)
  3. Select "Reserve Housing" from the menu.
  4. Choose the correct term to begin your application.

What to Expect:

  • The process takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
  • A $50 non-refundable reservation fee is required and must be paid online.
  • Your housing is not guaranteed until the reservation is submitted and the fee is paid.

This reservation is required for all students who wish to be placed in campus housing.

Room Renewal

Room Renewal is your chance to reserve your current room—or choose a new one—for the upcoming academic year.

Dates for Room Renewal for the 2026–27 term have not yet been announced. Check back here or watch your email for updates from the Housing Office.

Note: For the 2025–26 academic year, Room Renewal opened on Monday, January 8 at 10:00 a.m. MT and closed on Wednesday, March 20 at midnight MT—future timelines are likely to follow a similar schedule.

  • Students who do not participate in Room Renewal may lose priority for their current room.
  • If you’re unsure of your plans, we strongly encourage you to complete Room Renewal to guarantee your space.

New Room Selection

  • Graduates and Seniors: Opens March 20th at 10 a.m. MT
  • Juniors: Opens March 26th at 10 a.m. MT
  • Sophomores: Opens April 1st at 10 a.m. MT
  • Freshmen: Opens April 8th at 10 a.m. MT
  • Incoming (Fall 2026) Freshmen and Transfers: Opens May 6th - 27th based on completed reservation date (completion dates below)

Eligible students may complete the housing cancellation form via the Housing Portal.

Important: Students who have not met the four-semester residency requirement and do not qualify as independent living students are not eligible to cancel.

Housing Reservation for Incoming Students 

To reserve your spot, simply visit the Housing Portal through the CSC website or via MyCSC and complete your housing reservation.

Important: Reservations are only considered complete once the $50 non-refundable reservation fee has been received.

Housing assignments and preferences are prioritized based on the date your reservation is completed. Refer to the calendar below for key dates and your room selection priority based on when you complete your reservation.

Returning on-campus residents will participate in room renewal during the spring semester.

  • Room selection available May 6th at 10 a.m. MT
December 1 – January 31
  • Room selection available May 13th at 10 a.m. MT
February 1 – March 31
  • Room selection available May 20th at 10 a.m. MT
April 1 – August 13
  • Room selection available May 27th at 10 a.m. MT

All students seeking admission for enrollment must complete the application for admission and submit all related documents before final acceptance can be granted. All application materials become the property of Chadron State College and will not be returned. Admission may be revoked, if granted on the basis of false information willfully submitted, or if the disclosure of facts required in the application process are intentionally concealed or omitted.  Chadron State College shall admit as students those persons who have graduated from an accredited high school or who present evidence of the achievement of a High School Equivalency Certificate based on the General Educational Development examination.
