Office of Academic Success-Academic Support Services

When academic issues arise in a student’s career, they can find the help and support they need through our Academic Support and Intervention programs.

It is also crucial to visit faculty during their office hours for assistance. If you are struggling with a particular topic or content, visiting with your instructor can clear up misunderstandings, help you connect with faculty, and lead to mentorship.

At Chadron State College, faculty and staff work together to support student success through Eagles360, our campus communication and early-alert system. When a student appears to be struggling in a course or facing academic challenges, instructors can submit a concern through Eagles360. This notifies the Office of Academic Success, and a team member will reach out to the student directly.

During this outreach, an Academic Advisor will talk with the student about what’s going on, share available resources, and help create a plan to get back on track. Our goal is to provide support early and help students succeed in their courses.

If you are contacted by an Academic Advisor, please know that we are reaching out to assist you, answer questions, and connect you with tools that can help you thrive academically.

For Faculty and Staff

If you have a student you are concerned about, please complete a referral form here. All referrals will be contacted within 24 business hours. If you have questions after submitting the form, please contact Chantel Merchen- Director, Office of Academic Success at cmerchen@csc.edu, or by phone at 308-432-6381.

"I can confidently say that I would absolutely take this course again. I think all students could benefit from this course, whether they are trying to get back on track or not.
