ROTC Scholarships – Invest in Your Future
- Army ROTC scholarships are awarded based on merit—not financial need—and offer exceptional value:
- 2-, 3-, and 4-year options based on your degree timeline
- Full tuition and fees or $12,000 per year for room and board
- $1,200 per year for books and supplies
- $420 monthly stipend (for up to 10 months each school year)
- Available to all contracted Cadets, even without a scholarship
How to Apply for an ROTC Scholarship
Applying is simple. Follow these steps to get started:
- High School Students:
- Apply online for a national ROTC scholarship. More information, including important application dates are available at https://www.goarmy.com/careers-and-jobs/find-your-path/army-officers/rotc/scholarships.
- College Students:
- Already in college? You may still qualify for a 2- or 3-year campus-based scholarship.
- Contact the ROTC department on campus to learn more and begin the process.
- Enlisted Soldiers:
- Interested in commissioning through ROTC while on active duty?
- Ask your career counselor about the Green to Gold program.
ROTC Scholarships at Chadron State College

Requirements to be eligible for an ROTC scholarship
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Be at least 17 and under 31 in year of commissioning.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have an unweighted high school GPA of at least 2.50 if you’re in high school while applying.
- Have taken the SAT or ACT.
- Take the Army Fitness Test (AFT).
- Meet the physical weight and height requirements.
- Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army, Army Reserve, or Army National Guard.
