Summer Financial Aid 

What you need to know:

Eligibility & Requirements

• • No separate application is required for Summer Financial Aid.
  • Summer aid is based on the 2025–2026 financial aid year.
  • CSC must receive your 2025–2026 FAFSA and all required documents listed on your To Do List before any summer aid can be awarded.
  • You must be enrolled in summer courses BEFORE summer financial aid can be offered.
  • Summer awards are based on the remaining financial aid eligibility you have in the 2025–2026 aid year.

Important: If you accepted and used all of your aid eligibility during the Fall and Spring terms, you may not qualify for additional aid for summer.

Financial Aid Available for Summer

• • Only federal grants and federal student loans are available during the summer term.
  • CSC scholarships and tuition waivers do not apply to summer courses.
  • Only degree‑seeking students are eligible for federal student aid. 

Summer Pell Grant

Students who currently receive the Federal Pell Grant may qualify for the Summer Pell Grant, which may provide additional Pell funding for summer coursework.

Enrollment, Processing & Payment Deadlines

• • Once enrolled, processing financial aid for any term or session may take 3–4 weeks.
  • Students are encouraged to enroll in coursework and complete all requirements early.
  • Payment for summer courses is due by the published deadline, regardless of the status of your financial aid.

Changes to Enrollment

If your enrollment changes after aid has been offered, it is your responsibility to notify the START Office so adjustments can be made.
