Our Commitment to Student Safety
Chadron State College is committed to providing an environment in which all students can work together in an atmosphere free from unlawful discrimination, harassment, or violence.
What Is Hazing?
Hazing is any activity by which a person intentionally or recklessly endangers the physical or mental health or safety of an individual for the purpose of initiation into, admission into, affiliation with, or continued membership with any organization.
Examples of hazing may include:
- Forced consumption of alcohol or drugs
- Physical abuse or threats
- Sleep deprivation
- Public humiliation
- Isolation from friends or family
CSC Hazing Policy
Chadron State College enforces a zero-tolerance policy on hazing. All students, faculty, and staff are expected to report hazing incidents immediately. Violations may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion.

Educational Initiatives
Chadron State College offers workshops, training, and awareness campaigns to educate students and organizations about the dangers of hazing and how to build positive group cultures. Reach out to the Student Affairs office at 308-432-6078 to schedule.
