Earn Your Certificate
The Certificates of Advanced Studies are designed to provide a focused, efficient pathway for educators seeking to qualify as dual-credit instructors. Built around discipline-specific graduate coursework, the certificates allow teachers to complete the required content credits, typically a minimum of 18 graduate hours, needed to teach dual-credit courses, without pursuing an additional full graduate degree in the field.
The certificates directly address the needs of K–12 school districts by expanding the pool of credentialed dual-credit instructors, particularly in high-demand subject areas. For educators, they offer a practical, flexible option to build subject-matter expertise, meet higher education credentialing standards, and broaden professional opportunities. For students and schools, the result is increased access to high-quality dual-enrollment courses that support college readiness, reduce time-to-degree, and strengthen secondary-to-postsecondary pathways.
