International Food Tasting Party set for April 18

CHADRON – The 41st annual Chadron State College International Food Tasting Party April 18 will feature a wide range of cultural experiences. Guests can expect traditional foods from different countries, a cultural fashion walk showcasing attire from around the world, and multiple live performances.
Tickets will be sold at the CSC Student Center April 6 to 10, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m. If those interested in purchasing tickets are unable to visit the Student Center during this time, they may contact club sponsor Jen Schaer at jschaer@csc.edu or 308-432-6069 to purchase tickets. CSC students must reserve their free tickets in advance or pick them up at the event.
Performances will include Chinese opera, clogging, the CSC Choir, a traditional Ethiopian dance, a Tongan dance, and a Jazz Band performance followed by Hawaiian dancers to close the indoor portion of the evening.
“The event will conclude outside the Student Center with Samoan fire knife dancers, providing a dynamic and memorable finale,” according to International Club President Kimo Tuivati.
“This event brings together students and community members to celebrate diversity through food, music, and performance. It’s a celebration of culture, community, and connection. It gives people the opportunity to experience traditions from around the world and appreciate the diversity that makes our campus so special,” Tuivati said.
