OMAHA – Twelve high school students were awarded the Nebraska State Colleges Multi-Activity Scholarship during the NSAA State Soccer Championships, recognizing their involvement in school activities and athletics.

Chadron State, Peru State, and Wayne State Colleges each selected four recipients to receive $1,000 scholarships for the 2025-26 academic year.

“We are proud to honor these students with the Nebraska State Colleges Multi-Activity Scholarship,” said Dr. Paul Turman, Chancellor of the Nebraska State College System (NSCS). “Their commitment to participating in multiple sports and activities reflects the determination, leadership, hard work, and teamwork we value at Chadron State, Peru State, and Wayne State Colleges.”

The Nebraska State Colleges and the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) established the Multi-Activity Student Award program in 2021 to encourage student engagement beyond the classroom. High school students who participate in three or more NSAA-sanctioned activities during the academic year receive a certificate of recognition. For the 2025-26 school year, an impressive 16,173 Nebraska students earned the Multi-Activity Student Award.

In addition, eligible students could apply for one of twelve $1,000 scholarships to attend Chadron State, Peru State, or Wayne State College.

Congratulations to the 2026 Nebraska State Colleges Multi-Activity Scholarship recipients:
