CHADRON – High school students from across western Nebraska will have the opportunity to test their knowledge of business and finance Wednesday, March 15, when the Center for Economic Education at Chadron State College plays host to a Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) business competition.

CHADRON – After years of planning and months of construction, the Chadron Area Aquatics and Wellness Center will open to the public Monday, March 7. The $6.8 million center hosted a “VIP Tour” Feb. 11 but officially opens for business Monday.

CHADRON – Chadron State College recently announced six employees were hired in February. Three of the new employees are custodians, one is an assistant coach and two others are faculty members who will begin their duties at the start of the 2017-18 Academic Year.

CHADRON – Four graphic design students and Chadron State College faculty members Mary Donahue and Dr. Shaunda French attended the annual Meet the Pros conference in Omaha Feb. 20-21. The students were Rachel Blair of Homer, Neb., Serena Brooks of Glenrock, Wyo., Tara Medigovich of San Luis Obispo, Calif., and Caitlyn Wiseman of Chadron.

CHADRON – Keynote speaker Daniel Hodgins led two sessions Saturday during Chadron State College’s 28th annual Excellence in Early Childhood Conference. Hodgins' morning session featured cognitive, behavioral and learning differences between pre-school boys and girls. In the afternoon, he provided strategies to successfully work with children who are seeking power.
