CHADRON – Nine new Chadron State College employees will join the faculty ranks this semester. They are Dr. David Christensen, Trudy Denham, Nathaniel Doherty, Dr. Gary Dusek, Dr. Aaron Field, Dr. Peter Moriasi, John Staben, Dr. Jeremy Weremeichik and Dr. Tara Wilson. Two faculty members, Chris McCarthy and Brittany Helmbrecht, are returning in new capacities.

CHADRON – For the first time, undergraduate Chadron State College psychology majors attended the American Psychology Association’s (APA) annual convention in Denver Aug. 4-7. They were accompanied by faculty members Dr. Mary Jo Carnot, Dr. Laura Gaudet and Dr. Bill Roweton.

CHADRON – A multi-colored silkscreen print titled “Bingo,” by Chadron State College art professor and department chair Laura Bentz is included in a portfolio “Dog Head Stew: The Second Course” that was purchased by the Library of Congress in July for its prints and photographs department.

CHADRON – The entry foyer of the King Library at Chadron State College has been brightened by four new works by Florida artist Jon Allen thanks to an initiative aimed at bringing more art to the college campus.

CHADRON – Chadron State College freshman football player Eric Goll, age 20, died Thursday following team practice. Goll, a native of Haines City, Florida, was transported from the practice field to Chadron Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead at approximately 12:30 p.m.
