Seven Chadron State College students and two faculty members, Dr. T. Smith and Dr. Deane Tucker, gathered at the Bean Broker Thursday evening to discuss their study abroad trip to Cuba. The trip, in mid-December, was the first trip Nebraska college students have made to Cuba, according to Smith and Tucker.

CHADRON – Nearly 125 student musicians from 25 Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming high schools will travel to Chadron State College for the annual High Plains Band and Choir Festival in Memorial Hall Feb. 2-3. Zane Dickinson, a former assistant professor in Chadron State College’s English and humanities department for more than 25 years, died Tuesday in Rochester, Minnesota. He was 72.

The lock down for the residence halls on the Chadron State College campus has been canceled as of 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning, Jan. 25, 2015. Based on information from the Chadron Police Department, there is no threat to campus.
