The Chadron State College HPER Club and Chadron Community Recreation will sponsor a 5k walk/run on Saturday, Nov. 21. The Frozen Turkey Trot is open to the public and cost for entrance is $15.

The Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees selected Larry Teahon of Chadron as its 2009-10 chairman and Carter “Cap” Peterson as vice chairman. Teahon, who presided over his first NSCS Board meeting in September, succeeds past chair Bill Roskens of Omaha.
