CHADRON – The Guzman Family will receive the Family Tree Award during Chadron State College’s Homecoming Oct. 1. The Family Tree Award is presented annually to families with a tradition of attending CSC. The recipient family must include a minimum of three generations of graduates. CHADRON – The Chadron State Foundation’s annual Fall Fund Drive will begin Oct. 4 and conclude Oct. 21. Last year, more than 100 volunteers from the campus and community raised $202,594 in 2021 to help fund student scholarships and programs at Chadron State College.

CHADRON – Dr. T.J. Thomson, an associate professor in visual communication and media and a chief investigator at the Queensland University of Technology Digital Media Research Centre in Australia, is a recipient (in absentia) of Chadron State College’s Distinguished Young Alumni (DYA) award. He was in the U.S. to see his family this summer and received the award in a small ceremony.
