Message from the President

At Chadron State College, strategic planning is about more than setting goals. The plan, and the process of creating it, is about shaping the future of our campus, our students, and the communities we serve. The 2030 Strategic Plan reflects months of thoughtful collaboration across campus and provides a clear framework to guide CSC in the years ahead. We truly believe the plan will Empower Students, Inspire Growth, and Strengthen Communities.
Since the Strategic Plan Steering Committee began meeting in 2023, the college has continued to refine the plan’s priorities, update the College’s mission, vision, and values, and identify key performance indicators that will help measure progress toward our shared goals. The result is a plan that focuses on four key priorities that reflect CSC’s commitment to students, employees, and our region.
Student Access, Experience, and Success
Ensuring students have the support, opportunities, and connections they need to thrive during their time at CSC and beyond.
Academic Excellence and Workforce Readiness
Providing high-quality learning experiences, investing in faculty and staff, and strengthening partnerships that prepare students for meaningful careers.
Organizational Culture and Institutional Vitality
Fostering a strong campus culture rooted in innovation, engagement, and long-term sustainability.
Regional Leadership and Impact
Strengthening CSC’s partnerships with communities, businesses, alumni, and organizations across the High Plains region.
Alongside these priorities, the College has identified performance indicators that will help track progress toward 2030. These measures will allow CSC to celebrate successes, identify opportunities for growth, and ensure the strategic plan remains a living document that informs decisions across campus.
As implementation begins, departments across campus will work to align their efforts with the strategic priorities, ensuring that every area of the College contributes to CSC’s continued growth and impact.
