CHADRON – Chadron State College winter commencement speakers include Mathematics Professor Dr. Beth Wentworth for the graduate ceremony in Memorial Hall at 2 p.m. and 2014 alumnus Adolfo Daniel Reynaga for the undergraduate ceremony in the Chicoine Center at 4 p.m. Two hundred twenty-nine candidates are expected to receive bachelor's and master's degrees.

CHADRON – Chadron State College English majors Lydia Privett of Wahoo, Nebraska, and Nalani Stewart of Colorado Springs, Colorado, led a discussion group with Chadron High School students this semester focusing on “Hey Kiddo,” a graphic memoir written and illustrated by Jarrett Krosoczka and used as the Common Reading Experience at CSC.

CHADRON – Dr. James Powell has been named Chadron State College’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, President Randy Rhine announced Tuesday. Powell, the Dean of Professional Studies and Applied Sciences at Chadron State College, replaces Dr. Charles Snare, who announced his retirement in August. Powell will begin his duties Jan. 11, 2020.
