CHADRON – Vivid primary school memories of the acrid smell of blue ink used in mimeograph machines, and the hardship a dyslexic classmate faced in learning English grammar provided inspiration for "Mimeograph Blues" a poem by Chadron State College social work professor Rich Kenney that was published in the Summer 2019 edition of Plainsongs Literary Journal, a poetry magazine produced by Hastings College Press.

CHADRON – The Nebraska Sandhills are on center stage at the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center with an exhibit titled “The Sand in Our Art.” Artwork by Trudy Denham, assistant professor at Chadron State College, and former Chadron resident Linda Teahon will be on display Sept. 3 through Oct. 25.

CHADRON – After spending the summer working on advanced biomedical research projects, two Chadron State College students, Wacey Gallegos from Ainsworth, Nebraska, and Lelisse Umeta, from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, had the opportunity to present results of their work at a recent science conference in Nebraska City.

CHADRON – Dr. Charles Snare, Chadron State College’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, will retire in January 2020. Snare, an administrator at the college since 2006, made his announcement at the college’s all-campus meeting Friday.
