CHADRON – Chadron State College’s second pop-up food pantry of the Spring semester will conclude Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. in the King Library entryway. Proper social distancing guidelines of six feet between individuals will be followed.

LINCOLN – The Nebraska State Colleges are proud to be a part of the statewide COVID-19 response by providing resources to support our rural communities during this challenging time. Chadron State, Peru State and Wayne State Colleges will provide residence hall rooms for individuals who need to quarantine, isolate, or convalesce during the COVID-19 pandemic if called upon by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

CHADRON – Although the need to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19 led Chadron State College on March 23 to move all classes to remote delivery, close campus to the public, cancel events, and limit gatherings to a maximum of 10 people, not all CSC students have gone home for the remainder of the semester.

CHADRON – Last fall, Chadron State College launched a pilot Eagle Mentor Program to assist freshmen with their transition to college. By helping to make students’ first year at CSC successful, the program is expected to strengthen the number who return to the college as sophomores.

CHADRON – While much of the world’s attention is focused on COVID-19 and the upheaval it has wrought in daily life, scientific research projects funded by NASA Nebraska Space Grant fellowships have two Chadron State College students thinking about the possibility of life on Mars, and a third student looking at a possible avenue for stopping dangerous MRSA infections that resist treatment with conventional medicines.
