Beginning Monday, Nov. 25, at noon, all Chadron State College classes will be canceled for the remainder of the week due to the severe winter weather forecast. In addition, Chadron State College will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 26, and Wednesday, Nov. 27. Chadron State College was already scheduled to be closed Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

CHADRON – Virtual Reality (VR), the technology that allows a person to figuratively step into and explore a computer created three-dimensional world that can feel completely real, has made its debut in the King Library Learning Commons at Chadron State College.

CHADRON — The District 12 National FFA Organization Leadership Contest was Nov. 20 at Chadron State College. Students from 16 Nebraska high schools competed for a chance to qualify for the 92nd Nebraska FFA State Convention in Lincoln in April 2020. First and second place winners in each event category qualified for the Nebraska state competition.

CHADRON – Volunteers with the Chadron State Foundation’s annual Fall Fund Drive celebrated the conclusion of the drive with pledges of $142,746 during a reception at the Bean Broker Nov. 5. Funds raised will support scholarships, improvements to college facilities, and departments and programs.

CHADRON – Chadron State College Event Planning and Leadership (CA 239) students hosted the fifth annual Oxfam Hunger Banquet, Monday, Nov. 18, in the Student Center Ballroom. This year’s event discussed food insecurity and hunger throughout the United States.

CHADRON – The Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center is honoring Native American Heritage Month with an exhibit titled “Native American Legacies.” The exhibit includes three art installations and an informational display about Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women now through Dec. 13. The Sandoz Center hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m., and Friday from 10 a.m. to noon.
