The Museum of Nebraska Art in Kearney, Nebraska, has created a special exhibition titled “Nebraska Women Artists: 1900-1960” for the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center at Chadron State College. The exhibition, which features works from the MONA permanent collection, is open to the public until May 18.

Eight-time world champion calf roper Fred Whitfield was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd of about 400 at Chadron State College Thursday night. Some traveled from as far as away as Lincoln, Kadoka, S.D. and Valentine to hear Whitfield speak about his career and his new biography, “Gold Buckles Don’t Lie”.

The Lightwire Theater production of the “The Ugly Duckling and Tortoise and the Hare” is coming to Chadron State College April 3.
