NEWCASTLE, Wyo. -- Chadron native Tyler Bartlett was named the 2015 Wyoming Teacher of the Year during a presentation Sept. 24 in Newcastle, Wyoming. State Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill presented the award to Bartlett, a 2008 graduate of Chadron State College.

Veteran BBC documentary film director Tim Slessor will begin his practitioner-in-residence stay at Chadron State College as the featured Graves Lecture Series speaker Tuesday, Oct. 21, in the King Library, Room 111 at 7 p.m. His topic will be “Perceptions – Them and Us – UK and U.S.”

Chief Information Officer Ann Burk said the installation of Chadron State College’s new firewall was progressing well Tuesday afternoon, however, the installation is taking longer than anticipated. Because of unexpected delays, the campus should plan for a possible extension of network interruption into Wednesday.
