LINCOLN – The Nebraska State Colleges Board of Trustees has selected Dr. Mary Keithly as the 2023 Teaching Excellence Award recipient for the Nebraska State College System. Keithly was selected during the Board of Trustees meeting March 23, 2023, and will be celebrated during the spring commencement ceremony at Chadron State College.

CHADRON – A team of Rural Business Leadership Initiative students who won a pitch contest and a grant for a civic improvement project is working with Chadron High School students. The team members hope to transform their vision of better wayfinding on C-Hill into a reality.

CHADRON – Seven Chadron State College students and Music Professor Dr. Joel Schreuder attended the American Choral Directors National Conference in Cincinnati in February. CHADRON – The 2023 Senior Art Show, Meandering Visions, opens Monday in the Memorial Hall Main Gallery. The show is open through March 31 from Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The artists will host a closing reception 4-6 p.m. March 31 in Memorial Hall’s Lobby.

LINCOLN – Governor Jim Pillen has appointed Cooper Reichman of Chadron State, Olivia McAsey of Peru State, and Emma Wilkinson of Wayne State to serve as student trustees on the Board of Trustees of the Nebraska State College System. They will each serve a one-year term (2023-2024 academic year) representing State College students.
