CHADRON – The crowning achievement for Chadron State College in 2022 was undoubtedly the completion of the $32 million Math Science Center of Innovative Learning renovation and expansion. More than 180 businesses, families, and organizations supported the project with $3.65 million in donations. Renovation of the building had long been a top priority for the NSCS Board of Trustees.

CHADRON -- Chadron State College is closing its campus Wednesday, Dec. 21 and Thursday, Dec. 22 because of winter weather conditions. Since the Fall semester has concluded, the residence halls and dining services are closed. Chadron State College will begin its Winter Break Friday, Dec. 23, and remain closed until Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023.

CHADRON – Katie Digmann is excited about returning to her alma mater as the Director of Alumni and Development. Among her responsibilities, Digmann, who will replace Karen Pope once she retires in January 2023, will lead the Alumni Association, host alumni gatherings and alumni travel, coordinate alumni events on campus, and raise funds to support scholarships and campus initiatives.

Due to the unprecedented winter storm Chadron is experiencing and in the interest of safety for all participants, the 2022 Winter Commencement Ceremony for Graduate and Undergraduate students at Chadron State College is canceled, President Randy Rhine announced early Friday morning. The ceremony was to take place today at 2 p.m. at the Chicoine Center. All students who were graduating today are encouraged to attend the Spring Commencement Ceremony in May.
