Sixty students from nine community colleges in Nebraska and Wyoming helped organize and beautify the Chadron State College Child Development Center and Infant Center at Grace Episcopal Church last month. The students were attending the annual Phi Theta Kappa fall conference at Fort Robinson State Park.

The story of how the 1985 murder of Enrique Camarena Salazar, a United States Drug Enforcement Agency employee in Mexico, was solved was one of the highlights during the Regional Law Enforcement Conference at Chadron State College this week. The story was told by Ron Rawalt, who grew up three blocks from the Chadron State campus and graduated from the college in 1971. He has been a FBI agent for more than 30 years, including the last 17 as a special agent at North Platte.

The driver of a Chevrolet Lumina, whose name was not immediately released, was taken to Chadron Community Hospital after her vehicle collided with a stone lamp post and Nebraska State Historical Society marker on the campus of Chadron State College on Monday.
