One of the outstanding musical comedies of recent years, “Honk,” will be presented this weekend by the Theater and Music Departments at Chadron State College. The performances that are open to the public will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 6-8 and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9 in Memorial Hall.

The Department of Business and Economics at Chadron State College and the Nebraska Council on Economic Education will host the 22nd annual World Food Day Teleconference on Friday, Oct. 14 in the Student Center Ballroom at CSC. The program, which will be open to the public without charge, will begin at 9:45 a.m. with a welcome by Dr. Janie Park, president of Chadron State. A total of 55 candidates have been nominated for homecoming king and queen at Chadron State College. Each campus organization that participates in homecoming is eligible to select a king and a queen candidate.

Four couples who are associated with Chadron State College have established scholarships through the Chadron State Foundation that will assist students attending the college. Three of the scholarships will assist education majors while the fourth is to help a student wishing to participate in the college’s Study Abroad program that is being launched.
