Chadron certified public accountant Keith Spencer, who provided invaluable service to the Chadron State Foundation for about 35 years, will be presented the college’s Distinguished Service Award Friday evening. The person who has been the leader in informing and awakening the United States about conditions on American Indian reservations will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7 in Memorial Hall at Chadron State College. The program will be open to the public and no admission will be charged.

Since her boyfriend was doing construction work at Camp Pendleton, Chadron State College senior Katie Enright wanted to spend this past summer in California. She also needed to earn some internship credit since it is required of family and consumer science majors at CSC.

The Chadron State College Theater Department is finishing preparations for Langford Wilson’s “The Rimers of Eldritch,” which will be presented this weekend in Memorial Hall. The productions will be at 7:30 Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and 2 p.m. Sunday.
