Dr. Brent Pickett, Chadron State College associate professor of political science, is one of 40 people invited to participate in a session of the Oxford Round Table, a symposium to “promote human advancement and understanding through the improvement of education.” The symposium will be at Oxford University at Oxford, England, Aug. 1-6.

Seniors Angie Meiergerd of West Point and Zane Vapenik of Elsie were crowned the Ivy Day royalty at Chadron State College Friday night. Meiergerd is an environmental biology major and will remain at CSC this coming year to work on her master’s degree. Vapenik is an industrial technology major and will teach that subject at Maywood High School this fall.
