CHADRON – Chadron State College Homecoming royalty were crowned Wednesday in the Student Center Ballroom. The queen is Kimberly Hernandez of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and the king is Devin Fulton of Glenrock, Wyoming.

CHADRON – Bryony Trump’s solo clarinet recital Sunday, Sept. 30, at Chadron State College will be more than fulfilling a graduation requirement. Her performance will also represent months of recovery from a rollover accident north of her home in Sterling, Colorado. Trump’s recital will be at 3 p.m. in the Mari Sandoz High Plain Heritage Center’s Chicoine Atrium.

CHADRON – If students are interested in making an impact on the world, Dr. Mike Leite, professor of Physical and Life Sciences, has a major for them. Beginning in the Fall of 2018, Environmental Geoscience, began being offered at Chadron State College.

CHADRON – Two Chadron State College graduates from the 1980s, Judge Russell W. Harford of Chadron and Dr. James Jaggers of Aurora, Colorado, will be honored for achievements in their professions and demonstrating service to the college with the CSC Distinguished Alumni Award at a luncheon Saturday during the college’s Homecoming activities. Distinguished Young Alumni Awards will also be presented at the luncheon.

LINCOLN – The Board of Trustees announced four finalists in the search for the next chancellor of the Nebraska State College System (NSCS). Chancellor Stan Carpenter is retiring after 18 years of service with the NSCS.
