CHADRON – In August, the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) awarded funding to Chadron State College and the University of Nebraska–Lincoln through the third round of the state’s Grow Your Own Teacher Apprenticeship Competitive Sub-Grant Opportunity.

CHADRON – Historic black-and-white photographs by Mabel Graham McIntosh Souther are on display at the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center through the fall 2025 semester. The exhibit is free and open to public Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.

CHADRON – The late Dr. Margaret Crouse will be recognized posthumously with a Distinguished Service Award from Chadron State College, in honor of her career dedicated to education, service, and mentorship.

CHADRON – Chadron State College honored Homecoming royalty during a pep rally Thursday on Elliott Field. Homecoming Queen, nominated by the International Club, was Natali Keni of Kahuku, Hawai’i. Keni is also involved in The Nest and is a member of the CSC Volleyball Team. King, nominated by The Nest, was Cort Rummel of Gurley, Nebraska. Rummel is also involved in Intramurals and serves as a student coach for the volleyball team.
