CHADRON — The Theatre Department at Chadron State College will perform The Ultimate Christmas Show (Abridged) on Dec. 6 and 7 at 7 p.m. in Memorial Hall’s Black Box Theatre. The show is a Christmas comedy about three cast members who rush to perform parts of no-show entertainers. It is intended for audiences ages 13 and older.

CHADRON – Chadron State College alum Carissa Hill received the Frances Thurber Pre-Service Student of the Year award at the 2024 Nebraska Art Teachers Association (NATA) Fall Conference on Oct. 11 in McCook, Nebraska. A May 2024 graduate, Hill teaches grades 6–12 at Southwest Public Schools in Bartley, Nebraska.

PERU, Neb. – The Chancellor of the Nebraska State College System has appointed Dr. Wendy Waugh as Interim President of Peru State College, effective Dec. 2, 2024. Currently serving as Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Waugh brings 33 years of experience in higher education, including five years in administrative leadership.

CHADRON – Chadron State College is the exclusive Nebraska sponsor of a positive digital messaging platform called the Kindness eWall. The platform designed by YouUplift, is intended for students, teachers, and staff to share encouraging and uplifting comments on digital displays on the walls of their schools. CSC’s sponsorship makes the Kindness eWall free to all public and private Nebraska schools grades K-12 for the 2024-25 school year.

CHADRON—To honor National Native American Heritage Month at Chadron State College, the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center is featuring exhibits of work by Nathan Blindman, a CSC alum, and the late Amos Bad Heart Bull. The exhibit is open until Dec. 13, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m., except the week of Thanksgiving, Nov. 25-29.
