Tastes, sights and sounds from around the world will be featured in the International Club’s Annual Food Tasting Party on Saturday, Feb. 16, 5:30 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. Club members serve dishes and provide dancing, music and fashion entertainment from their native countries for a crowd of 400.

Enrollment in the Master of Business Administration program at Chadron State College has quadrupled over the past five years. Dr. August Bruehlman, business professor and department chair, said that 171 MBA students were enrolled in the fall of 2012 compared to 41 in the fall of 2007. He said the quality of the accredited program, which he and his fellow faculty members deliver, combined with the most reasonable cost in the country make the program extremely attractive to prospective students.

An art show featuring recent work in a variety of mediums created by CSC art faculty including Laura Bentz, Richard Bird, Mary Donahue, and Nancy Sharps opened today in the Main Gallery of Memorial Hall and will run through March 15. Donahue said that Daniel Binkard and Dewayne Gimeson, who have been an important part of expanding the program in photography and digital photography, are showing for the first time in the faculty show.

Chadron State College made a big splash at the Feb. 9 Rapid City Rush hockey game. Elmo, the eagle mascot of CSC, took to the spotlight dropping the puck for the start of the game between the Rush and the Arizona Sundogs. Media and College Relations staff, along with volunteers and Admissions staff distributed CSC promotional items and took photos throughout the evening.
