The sounds of the season will fill Chadron State College's Memorial Hall when the wind symphony and choral ensembles combine for the annual holiday concert Saturday, Dec. 13, at 7:30 p.m. The event is open to the public free of charge.

On Dec. 5, Chadron State College officials were made aware that CSC student Joseph Hotz was arrested for the alleged murder of CSC student Kenneth Pfeiffer and subsequent media reports have made reference to the use of mushrooms and marijuana. College officials are reminding students to refrain from using any illegal substances.

Many of you have likely read the about the death of one of our students and the alleged homicide investigation. It has been confirmed that Chadron State College student Kenneth Pfeiffer of Sedascian, Fla., was found dead in his home Friday evening. His roommate, Joseph Hotz of Rushville, Neb., was arrested Friday night by the Chadron Police Department.
