Approximately 325 sophomores from nine Panhandle high schools will be at Chadron State College Monday, March 7 for Career Day. Educational Service Unit No. 13 based in Scottsbluff is sponsoring the event with funding coming from a Carl Perkins Grant that ESU 13 received.

Chadron State College piano professor, James Margetts, will present a recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 3 in the Chicoine Atrium of the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center. This will be the first recital he has given since joining the college last fall. The recital will be open to the public without charge, but the event will kick off a fund-raising effort to purchase the Yamaha piano that is in the atrium. The piano is on loan from a Scottsbluff business.

A Chadron State College senior, Malinda Sprentall, will present a clarinet recital at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27 in the Chicoine Atrium of the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center. The recital is open to the public without charge. Sprentall will be accompanied on the piano by Nicole Smith.
