CHADRON – For the first time in six years, Chadron State College’s spring enrollment has increased from the previous spring. As of Monday, CSC’s enrollment in the 2022 spring semester is 2,101 students, compared to 2,067 students in 2021.

CHADRON – A music composition by Chadron State College student Thomas Hughes aired Jan. 6 during Nebraska Public Media’s television series What If, a show about innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity in Nebraska. The theme music, Swashbuckling Revelation, is Hughes’ first concert band score.

LINCOLN – The Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees hosted its business meeting Wednesday in Lincoln. Prior to the meeting, the NSCS hosted a reception for Nebraska State Senators, and the Councils of Business Officers, Academic Officers, and Student Affairs Officers met.

CHADRON – The Chadron State College Music Department’s spring schedule includes 19 events. In addition to recitals by CSC faculty and students, three guest artists will take the stage. Concerts will continue the Celebration of Women in Music series that began in Fall 2021 and include final installments in the series to honor Beethoven’s 250th year.All performances are free and open to the public. The Jan. 31 and Feb. 21 concerts will be broadcast by CSC Live.
