CHADRON – Nearly 30 Chadron State College students assisted at eight work sites Tuesday during the fourth annual The Mini Big Event. Projects included raking leaves, picking up trash, stringing lights, and marking pavement. The Chadron Public Library, Chadron Primary School, Finnegan Park, Community Plaza, and private residences were among the locations.

CHADRON – Chadron State College’s Fall 2021 Graves Lecture Series concluded with Mary Traphagan, a Chadron Middle School Social Sciences Teacher, Nov. 9, in the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center Chicoine Atrium. She presented a discussion on Holocaust history and honored Holocaust survivors.

CHADRON – Joshua and Tara Dukart of Hazen, North Dakota, spoke to an audience that included about 35 Chadron State College students during a Nov. 11 presentation in the Student Center. The couple’s appearance was sponsored by the Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition, Nebraska Extension, and Nebraska Environmental Trust.

CHADRON – Chadron State College's Senior Thesis Art Show, Escape into Wonderland, opens Monday, Nov. 22 in the Main Gallery of Memorial Hall. The show will be open from Monday, Nov. 22 to Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. A reception featuring the artists will be Dec. 3 from 4 to 6 p.m. in Memorial Hall’s Lobby.

CHADRON – More than 75 items created by 25 exhibitors, all Chadron State College employees, are on display in the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center through Nov. 30. About 20 different media are represented in the Artists After Hours show, including acrylic and oil paintings, ink and pen drawings, cross stitch, multi-media, crochet, gingerbread, creative writing, recycled cardboard, glass, wood, and books.
