CHADRON – Chadron State College will celebrate Homecoming the week of Sept. 26 through Oct. 1. The theme for this year’s Homecoming is Out of This World and an updated list of events is online. In case of inclement weather, outdoor activities will be moved to the Student Center Ballroom.

CHADRON – A survivor art exhibit, What Were You Wearing, is in the King Library Sept. 16 through Oct. 31. The display, including articles of clothing described by survivors of sexual assault, aims to explore the cultural attitude implying clothing provokes sexual assault, according to Interim Title IX Coordinator Morgan Cullan. The exhibit will be open during regular library hours in the northeast corner of the second floor.

CHADRON – Chadron State College student Katrina Christensen is the Project Strive/TRiO Student of the Month for September. A sophomore from Guernsey, Wyoming, Christensen said she chose CSC because it provided the most opportunities and excitement about Project Strive/TRiO.

CHADRON – In an illustrated lecture Sept. 27, British author Alan Wilkinson will reveal how a road trip 30 years ago led him to discover Nebraska, its people, and its writers. The free, public reading from Lost and Found in Nebraska will be at the Bean Broker in Chadron. The presentation begins at 7 p.m.

CHADRON – Members of the Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees attended the dedication of the Math Science Center of Innovative Learning Sept. 7 before their regular meeting on Chadron State College’s campus Sept. 8. Prior to attending the dedication, the Board of Trustees toured Chadron State College’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equality, and Access (IDEA) Space.

CHADRON – Thanks to what is perceived as the largest incoming class of transfer students in school history, Chadron State College’s enrollment increased based on figures compiled by the Nebraska State College System (NSCS) on the 10th day of classes.
