CHADRON -- Theatre Professor Scott Cavin decided to take a unique approach to the fall production by choosing three senior students as directors of three separate casts in “What the Constitution Means To Me.” This gave nine students an opportunity to perform and audiences nine performances to choose from in late November and early December.

CHADRON – Chadron State College senior Shasta Rosales has been named the Wyoming Education Association’s (WEA) Education Support Professional (ESP) of the Year. She is student teaching at the Indian Paintbrush Elementary School in Laramie, Wyoming.

CHADRON – Chadron State College’s International Club continued its Dine with Us lunch series Jan. 23 in the Student Center with a presentation by student Vernon Plenty Bull and TRiO Director Jennifer Schaer. They shared a map and photos of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and discussed its history, government agencies, education system, health services, law enforcement, traditions, and customs.

CHADRON – Chadron State College student Reata Cook of Sheridan, Wyoming, competed in the Miss Rodeo America Pageant during the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas in December.

CHADRON – Chadron State College student BreAnne Benson of West Fargo, North Dakota, has written freelance articles for several regional rodeo publications. She will graduate in May with a Communication Arts degree with an emphasis in journalism and media production. She transferred to CSC from Valley City State University in North Dakota when she decided to change majors from music to journalism.

CHADRON – The Nebraska State College System (NSCS) has launched a rural tutoring program with teacher education candidates from Chadron, Peru, and Wayne Colleges, tutoring K-12 students in Educational Service Units 1, 4, and 13. Nebraska Success Made Accessible through Rural Tutoring (SMART) is a free, online tutoring program funded by a Nebraska Department of Education grant awarded to the NSCS.
