CHADRON – Rising Sophomores at Chadron State College were honored with awards for their academic majors and outstanding contributions in extracurricular activities during an annual ceremony April 15. The ceremony, now in its 11th year, recognizes current CSC freshmen who have been nominated by CSC employees and students for their achievements during their first year at CSC.

LINCOLN – Governor Jim Pillen has appointed Daniella Akwanamnye of Chadron State, Lucas Hrabik of Peru State, and Mattie Kucera of Wayne State to serve as student trustees on the Board of Trustees of the Nebraska State Colleges. They will serve a one-year term (2026-27 academic year) and represent the students of the State Colleges.

CHADRON – Members of the Chadron State College Art Guild recently returned from a trip to Las Vegas where students explored art installations, museums, architecture, and environmental landscapes that inspired reflection on creativity and history. Led by CSC Art Professor Mary Donahue, the trip combined visits to major art destinations with opportunities to study ecology and public art.
