The recent Post Playhouse fundraiser was successful and profitable generating $6,100, according to Lacy Willey, Security First Bank vice president and Harrison branch president. The playhouse is a non-profit, self-sustaining entity, supported by a variety of in-kind donations from Chadron State College and Fort Robinson State Park.

LINCOLN, Neb. - Chadron State College's outgoing student representative on the Nebraska State College System's Board of Trustees, Morgan Nelson, plans to enroll in graduate school at Texas A&M in College Station, Texas, where she will earn a Master of Public Service and Administration degree through the Bush School of Government and Public Service.

Dr. Charles “Chuck” Butterfield is moving to Wyoming after 14 years at Chadron State College. The professor and department chair of Applied Sciences said he plans to begin work as a senior consultant with a private environmental/engineering consulting firm based in Jackson, Wyo.

Chadron State College’s health professions department has received a $6,250 grant for faculty-led, undergraduate research into public health. Jill Mack, director of Health Professions Programs, including the Rural Health Opportunities Program and Public Health Early Admission Student Track at CSC said she is excited about the funding from the Rural Futures Institute.

Adolfo "Danny" Reynaga, a Chadron State College junior, has been named as the new CSC student trustee on the Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees. He is the son of Adolfo and Dora Reynaga of Alliance, Neb. and a 2010 graduate of Alliance High School.
