LINCOLN, Neb. - Chancellor Stan Carpenter announced that Oren Yagil of Lincoln will join the staff in the Nebraska State College System Office. He will begin his duties as vice chancellor for academic planning and partnerships on August 5.

LINCOLN, Neb. - Michelle Suarez was elected chair of the Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees at its June Board meeting. Suarez joined the board in 2007 to fill the unexpired term of Willa Kosman of Scottsbluff. Suarez was reappointed to a six-year term by Governor Heineman in 2009.

LINCOLN, Neb. - On-campus students at Nebraska's three state colleges in Peru, Wayne and Chadron will pay no more in tuition next year than they did this year after the leaders of those colleges approved a tuition freeze for the 2013-14 school year on Tuesday.

Creative Dining Services has announced that Tracy Shuck has been promoted to Resident Operations Director. In this role, Shuck will continue to serve as the head of Chadron State Dining Services and will continue to have his office at CSC.

Multiple roofing projects funded by revenue bonds are taking place on campus this summer. Twin City Roofing of Scottsbluff was the successful bidder for all of the projects, according to Blair Brennan, coordinator of physical facilities.
