CHADRON – In late April, Chadron State College students in Printmaking I (ART 225) led a two-day activity with 17 seventh graders in CSC alumna Whitney Tewahade's art class at the Chadron Middle School. CSC Art Professor Laura Bentz said the collaboration allowed the younger students to experience the process of silk screen printing, interact with college students, and begin thinking about the possibility of attending college.

CHADRON – Dr. Kimberly Paddock-O’Reilly has been named Chadron State College’s next Vice President for Academic Affairs, President Ron K. Patterson announced Wednesday. She will replace Dr. Jim Powell, who will retire June 30. Paddock-O’Reilly’s first day at CSC is July 1.

CHADRON – Chadron State College has announced the undergraduate students qualifying for the Spring 2024 President’s and Dean’s Lists. The President's List consists of students with a 4.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Students met the requirements for the Dean’s List by earning at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average.

LINCOLN – Chadron State, Peru State, and Wayne State Colleges awarded the Nebraska State Colleges Multi-Activity Scholarship to twelve high school students at the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) State Soccer Championships.

CHADRON – Twenty-seven Nebraska high school students have been selected for the Rural Health Opportunities Program (RHOP) at Chadron State College. Students selected as participants in RHOP receive a full-tuition scholarship to CSC.

CHADRON – Chadron State College graduate Creighton Harrington of Loup City, Nebraska, completed an internship in Costa Rica through Worldpackers during the Spring 2024 semester. The organization allows volunteers work in exchange for accommodations or meals. Harrington is planning a career in medicine.

CHADRON – Former Chadron State College student Elise Aguilar is benefitting from a 3+1 agreement she helped set in motion between CSC and Palmer College of Chiropractic. She recently completed her first year at Palmer in Davenport, Iowa, and describes the experience as amazing.
