LINCOLN – The Nebraska State Colleges Board of Trustees selected Dr. Beth Wentworth as the 2020 Teaching Excellence Award recipient for the Nebraska State College System (NSCS). Wentworth, a Professor of Mathematics, was selected during the Board of Trustees meeting April 23 and will be celebrated during the virtual spring commencement ceremony at Chadron State College May 9.

CHADRON – Chadron State College students living thousands of miles from their homes have been adapting to life on a quiet campus following the college’s decision to provide remote delivery of classes because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The students are not only maintaining their academic work, friendships, and jobs, but they have a positive outlook.

CHADRON – For the second consecutive year, Chadron State College’s The Big Event was forced to implement significant adjustments. After being impacted by roughly a foot of snow last spring, this year the event, like many others, moved to a virtual format due to COVID-19.

CHADRON – Chadron State College’s second pop-up food pantry of the Spring semester will conclude Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. in the King Library entryway. Proper social distancing guidelines of six feet between individuals will be followed.
