CHADRON – The Big Event staff and The Nest are hosting the annual The Big White Out Friday during Chadron State College’s women’s and men’s basketball games against Colorado State University-Pueblo at the Chicoine Center. The women’s game begins at 5:30 p.m. and the men’s game follows at 7:30 p.m.

CHADRON – Chadron State College will host the Western Nebraska Mental Health Conference, March 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Student Center. More information and registration materials are available at the conference’s website. Registration is open until March 1. Tickets are $25 and include lunch.

CHADRON – Sam Adams, a comedian from the Denver area, will perform Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall as part of the Galaxy Series. Tickets are free for Chadron State College students and employees. Advance tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for youth and seniors. Tickets at the door will be $16.

CHADRON – Chadron State College’s Rangeland Management program is hosting Practitioner in Residence Dr. Rick Baydack this semester to teach Applied Agroecosystem Management (AGRI 460/560). Baydack is professor and chair of Environmental Science and Studies at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. The Bill and Virginia Coffee Family Foundation Grant funds the Practitioner in Residence.
