Seven Chadron State College students had a unique experience earlier this summer. They spent three weeks in Peru, South America, learning about both the Incan empire that flourished there centuries ago and modern times in that part of the world. The trip was led by Dr. Alison Krogel, who taught Spanish at CSC in 2006-2007. She spent most of 2005 in Peru while she was a graduate student at the University of Maryland.

Members of the cast and crew at the Post Playhouse at Fort Robinson have been doing double-duty recently. Besides delighting audiences with "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" in the evenings, company members have been spending the daytime preparing for the musical farce, "Lucky Stiff."

A Chadron State College admissions coordinator, Deb Smith, presented guidelines at a national conference last week to help recruiting professionals collaborate with other college employees. Smith’s presentation, “Recruiting with Academic and Athletic Departments,” was delivered at the annual EMAS Recruitment Pro & Telecounseling Pro User’s Workshop at San Diego on Wednesday-Friday, June 20-22.
