CHADRON – No live audience members will be in Chadron State College’s Black Box Theatre when four actors take to the stage in Seventy Scenes of Halloween later this month. Those who wish to watch the show on CSC Live should register to obtain a password for viewing at csc.edu/theatre/seatreservation/index.csc. The password is good for one performance. None of the performances will be recorded. The Feb. 25 through 27 performances will be at 7 p.m., and the Feb. 28 performance will be at 2 p.m.

CHADRON – Chadron State College student Jacob Jefferson is the Project Strive/TRiO Student of the Month for February. Jefferson, a senior from Buckeye, Arizona, said he chose Chadron State because of the caring community and its appealing athletic facilities.

CHADRON – The Chadron State College Scholastic Contest, an annual opportunity to recognize and the academic achievements of regional high school students, has been canceled for 2021. Co-Chairs of the Scholastic Day Committee Jamie Hamaker and Sara Smith said the tradition will resume next year.

CHADRON – This month's Chadron State College Food Pantry will include fresh produce for the first time, according to organizer Kate Pope. An anonymous donor is providing the produce to be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Food Pantry will be in the Student Center Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Chadron State College is closing its campus Thursday, Feb. 11 at 3 p.m. because of winter weather conditions. Residence halls, the Student Center, and dining services will remain open. If campus closes Friday, another announcement will be sent before 6 a.m. Friday morning.
