The bands in the Chadron Public Schools will join with the Chadron State College wind symphony to present a concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 11 in Memorial Hall. Approximately 180 musicians will be involved. There will be no admission charge. Joe Rischling is the director of the Chadron Schools’ bands and Dr. Adam Lambert directs the Chadron State ensemble.

Chadron State College continues to build on its Alaska connection. One of the 34 schools registered for the annual Teacher Interview Day at CSC on Friday, March 14, is the Northern Slope Borough School District of Barrow, Alaska. Janet Hartman, CSC internship and career services office assistant, said the district from Alaska’s northern coast is seeking elementary teachers.

“Lewis and Clark and the Indian Country,” a traveling exhibit opening at Chadron State College on Monday, March 10, tells the story of the explorers’ historic 1804–1806 expedition from a different point of view -- that of the American Indians who lived along their route.

Shakespeare’s "Julius Caesar" is coming to the stage of Chadron State College’s Memorial Hall on Monday, March 10, at 7:30 p.m. The classic play will be performed by eight professional actors of the Aquila Theatre Company, a group of British and American artists based in New York City. Two groups from Chadron State College will travel to opposite ends of North America during Spring Break, but lounging on a sandy beach isn’t on the agenda. One group will be providing relief for Hurricane Katrina while another will be traveling to Alaska to study the regional culture, history and the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.
